Reveille: brunch

Hell yeah. It ain’t cheap but it won’t break the bank. Do it.

Biscuits and gravy with grits and eggs

The Gouda grits. Fantastic. Get five bowls of that and call it a meal.

The eggs were very fluffy.

The biscuits and gravy were the least exciting part. Nothing was bad. Just didn’t live up. Not enough gravy for the whole biscuit. The gravy was a touch thin. Not much sausage. Too much flavor? Not sure how to explain that. The flavor didn’t match the view and texture. It was good, just unexpected. My brain couldn’t make everything match.

Chicken quesadilla with potatoes.

Guac was perfect, and no cilantro if you’re one of those people…

Quesadilla was great.

Potatoes were a balance of salty and fried and crunchy and soft. Two fat thumbs up.

Mystic stuffed French toast.

9.9/10. Wife gave it 10, but it’s French, so I had to knock it down a peg.
